Good Morning

Hope everyone has had a good week, and I look forward to some good discussion on Sunday.   I hope that some folks will have their S.T.O.R.Y. paragraphs to share on Sunday, and we have a number of questions from today's assignment to discuss.

This week's reading:

Monday:  Pg 31-39  (note that there is a Rick and Bubba reference in this chapter)
Tuesday:  Pg 161-171  (giving everyone a couple of days to work on the assignment in these pages)
Wednesday: Pg 161-171
Thursday: Pg 51-61
Friday:  Pg 173-178  (some questions, that we will begin discussion on on Sunday)

Today's Scripture

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law

 Romans 13:8

Don't forget that back issues of our emails, along with some Max Lucado links and resources, are at leapclass.blogspot.com.

As you can see, the next two days are alloted for finishing up the first step towards finding your sweet spot -- moving from your sweet spot one liners, to your paragraphs, to your S.T.O.R.Y. chart.

One thing to note about this whole exercise/study --- this is specifically about your work life.  It isn't necessarily about finding out what you should be doing in your spare time -- it is exercise in discovery of what God has made you for during the main part of your life -- your working life.  The results of this exploration could be liberating, or challenging, or enlightening, or frightening -- depending on what you discover and how much you current work life is at odds with what your gifts are.

Today's Scripture

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here.  So let us put aside the deeds of darkness, and put on the armor of light.

 Romans 13:12

 Today's prayer requests:      Brother Bobby

Bobby had his knee replacement surgery last week, and is still recuperating.  We need to remember him as he handles the recovery and rehab from this difficult and painful surgery.

RE: Monday, September 11, 2006

Here is the link for the angel pictures we talked about yesterday.

Brad

Rob (from the Rob and Shannon show) recently lost his stepson in an accident that occurred while Mountain climbing in Kenya, Africa. The events to follow are quite incredible. Please.... Please.... Please.... Go to www.robandshannon.com and read the letter written by Rob as it came to him on a bike ride, and look at the picture that follow. I hope it touches you like it touched me.

Good Morning

We had a great turnout on Sunday --- thanks for everyone being there and participating.

Here's the outline for this week's reading.

First, you need to complete your one liners and paragraphs about your "sweet spot" experiences -- you'll need that for later this week.

Second, here is this week's reading:

Monday:  Pg 31-39  (note that there is a Rick and Bubba reference in this chapter)
Tuesday:  Pg 161-171  (giving everyone a couple of days to work on the assignment in these pages)
Wednesday: Pg 161-171
Thursday: Pg 51-61
Friday:  Pg 173-178  (some questions, that we will begin discussion on on Sunday)

Don't forget that back issues of our emails, along with some Max Lucado links and resources, are at leapclass.blogspot.com.

Today's Scripture

We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

1 Corinthians 5:20a

Today's prayer requests:     Our country on this somber anniversary date

Today is the 5th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.  We need to pray for our country, for those who lost loved ones in those attacks, and for our soldiers who are overseas at battle.
